Jivan means Life.
JFN BUSINESSES
Just as we introduce Nepalis to the Giver of Life, we also provide practical ways to sustain life in villages where many live below the poverty line.

Unemployment in Nepal is at a shocking high.
Many—including devoted Christians—are forced to migrate abroad to find work, even though they long to remain in Nepal and spread the gospel. Those who stay often struggle to provide for their families.
Jivan for Nepali businesses provide hope and opportunity.
We create micro-businesses that generate jobs and income in rural villages.
We train pastors and business leaders in biblical stewardship, business skills, and bookkeeping.
We equip pastors with supplemental income so their churches can become self-sustaining.
Our Businesses
In remote villages, many people cook over an open flame indoors, filling their homes with thick smoke and toxic fumes. (See photo at right of a smoke-stained ceiling inside a Nepali village home.) Our metal shop produces durable smokeless stoves that reduce health risks for women and children while providing steady jobs in metalwork. Each stove improves daily life in villages and helps pastors build relationships in their communities.

Goats provide both food and income. Families benefit from nutritious milk and meat, while goat sales create jobs and strengthen local economies. Pastors involved in the farm gain supplemental income to sustain their ministries.

Villagers in Nepal came together to plant a new apple orchard. This orchard is a long-term investment with lasting impact. Orchards create local jobs, provide a sustainable food source, and generate income that supports both families and village churches.

Raising pigs creates opportunities for income and community growth. Villagers gain food security and work opportunities, while pastors move closer to self-sufficiency through participation in the farm.

“In my community, we distributed 120 stoves, and they have brought significant changes to daily life. The stoves have eliminated smoke inside homes, making a noticeable difference in people’s health, plus cooking is easier and faster.
The distribution gave me the chance to talk about the love of Christ with village leaders and families. It was a natural way to share the gospel, showing that our actions reflect God’s care for everyone. Seeing the joy and relief these stoves have brought has been incredibly rewarding, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my community.”
